A Long-standing Commitment to Families and Communities

The Ward Family believes in giving back to the communities in which they live and work and has been very active in supporting local organizations for many years. Organizations such as the Grain Valley High School and Athletics, Oak Grove High School Athletics, Blue Springs High School Athletics, Jackson County 4H Fair, Fort Osage and Lone Jack FFA, The Battle Within, The Deron Cherry Foundation, Eastern Jackson County Community Service League, Missouri State Fair Foundation, Missouri Angus Association, Grain Valley Youth Sports League, Grain Valley Historical Society, Grain Valley Assistance Council, Boy Scout Troop 310, St Johns Lalande School, Trinity Lutheran School and the Grain Valley Santa Bus.

Ward Development employees are members of the community, in which they build. Before a project begins, they work with local governments, schools, fire departments, and law enforcement to design and coordinate developments. They understand a community’s master plan and often work with community leaders to create win/win situations through collaboration. Ward Development believes that communities are about relationships and families and creating a sustainable, efficient, and vibrant environment in which to live, work, and grow.

Ward Development proudly received several prestigious awards highlighting our ongoing commitment to excellence and community impact. Recognized as a Legacy Corporate Member, we continue to uphold our values of integrity and innovation, cementing our enduring legacy in the industry. Additionally, being voted Grain Valley's best home builder underscores our dedication to crafting quality homes that exceed expectations. Our achievements were further acknowledged by the Kansas City Business Journal, where we ranked in the top 4 among family-owned businesses in the last 4 years, a testament to our continued growth and success. These accolades inspire us to continue our mission of building thriving communities and delivering unparalleled excellence in all our endeavors.
